Spiritual Protection

Many Ghost Box/Evp users believe in the need for Spiritual Protection while using the instrument of choice to communicate with spirits. It is believe that with this protection, the user will be safe from negative lower level spirits as well as evil/demonic entities. Without any protection, trying to form a connection with the spirits is thought to leave the person wide open for these negative lower level spirits and evil/demonic entities to come through the Ghost Box/EVP “portal” and do harm to you on a mental and/or physical realm.

Protecting yourself is fairly easy. It comes in the form of prayer, visualization techniques, and with your belief system. Many prayers of protection exist to function as part of the process. Here are a few that are known to help:
1. “Dear Lord, please send your Legion of Angels down to protect me from all negative energies and from all evil entities, and only allow higher level energies to communicate with me while I enter into communication with spirits. Please allow my Spirit Guides and my Communication Technician to come forward and assist me in connecting with only higher level energies. In Your name I pray, Amen.” – A prayer I put together
2. “Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the Kingdom, the Power, the Glory, Forever and ever, Amen.” – A version of The Lord’s Prayer

Visualization techniques are used in conjunction with Protection Prayers. It is thought that with visualization one will be able to cleanse their home or surrounding area of negativity and evil, and place a sort of wall around themselves that will also protect from negativity and evil. Below are a few options:
1. To cleanse your home: Pray “Dear Lord, please send your powerful, loving, healing White Light down in to my home and let it fill my home in to every crevice until my home is shining with the Glory of Your Light.” While at the same time, in your mind’s eye, seeing the White Light coming down in to your home and going in to each room and filling it up until every crevice is filled with the Light and then it moving in to another room until the entire home is full and shining with the Light. It is believed that this method will force all negative energy and all evil out of your home.
2. To place a protective bubble/aura around your entire body: Visualize a bubble/aura around your entire body and soul. Then visualize that this bubble/aura has a mirrored surface that will reflect all negative energy and evil back to where it came from. I like to also ask God to strengthen my bubble/aura with His White Light. In my experience, when I started doing this visualization daily, I no longer struggled with the negativity surrounding me and coming from other people. I used to struggle daily because I am an empathic personality, a person who senses and takes on other people’s emotions. But once I was taught to do this technique, I eventually felt better and could live better. Just my humble experience.

The aforementioned visualizations, coupled with your belief system, will create one of the strongest forms of protection you could ever ask for and need. One thing to remember, while praying, if you are asking for help from Angels, be sure to ask God to send His Angel’s of Protection because Satan is a fallen Angel and you want to be sure you are receiving protection from God’s Angels and not a fallen Angel.

I think burning incense sticks or cones can also help.

If I do that when I'm in a bad mood I really can't stand that.
When I'm in a good mood it's ok.

Incense? Do you believe spirits retain their sense of smell?
I haven't done it here yet - but in past homes/apartments, I did the smudge stick inside and sprinkled salt around the foundation or around the openings (windows & doors).
I'm not sure if I believe the smudge and salt work or if its your energy combined with saying a prayer to keep out/force out any and all residual bad energies and prevent negatives from coming inside.
Either way - my daughter and I always felt lighter after preforming the ceremony.

Spirits do retain their sense of smell, but it is the influence that the incense has on you. That's what it is about. If you pick up bad energies or become influenced by dark spirits your organism needs to deal with the incense and the dark spirit who connects with you then accordingly has to deal with it too.

I will not say it does it all, but it can help. Prayer is a good way of ensuring your sanity as well.
Prayers are like mantra's and affirmations. They certainly work if performed in the right way.

I have never said so many prayers in my life as I have since I got the Spirit Box.

Prayers for protection
Prayers for deeper protection
Prayers asking to lessen aches so I can do what I need to do
Prayers of forgiveness for unkind thoughts
Prayers for the living who are suffering
and on and on...

I would like to add to stay aware of the good connection you have with your daughter. That is light. That is what makes you be in a sphere of light in the afterlife.

Motherhood and Fatherhood are holy in the spheres of Light.
That is the kind of love the Masters mean when they say you have to develop love. That is the kind of love you must develop and then extend to all the life there is.

That is how I understand it. And it makes sense to me.

I didn't say a prayer of protection the first 3 times I used my Ghost Box. I wasn't aware such a thing was necessary. Now, I would advise everyone to say their protection prayer as soon as they turn on their box.

The prayer I say is very simple - almost verbatim to Bruce Halliday's Protection Prayer.

'I ask that the white light of purity, peace and love surround me, inside and out, protect me from all negativity or harm from any source. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen' and then, I say 'Thank you.'
