Our personal journey will differ but will be similar.
We are eternal beings.
We are actors and actresses in this human life we have been living.
As humans, we've been concerned about Earthly pursuits - jobs, homes, dating, marriage, status - and a plethora of other issues that we believe show the world we are good, hard working citizens.
At some point - our lives become not enough. The priorities we deemed important - do nothing to enhance or lift our spirit or our soul - UNLESS we were on the correct path to spiritual awakening.
(Think of the movie The Lord Of The Rings - Gandalf says to Frodo - "The Ring wants to be found. Its always seeking, seeking, searching for its Master. They are one.")
Our spirit is always seeking, searching for a path to The Lord.
For many people this seeking has been gradual, taking 10, 20 perhaps even 30 years. Yet others, who may have been spiritually aware their entire lives, can be broadsided with miracles & messages, one right after another, in the span of a week or two. This type of spiritual awakening can be terrifying.
As humans we are unable to think or reason in Godly ways. The changes occurring are physical, mental and spiritual.
At first, the messages & miracles are thrilling, mind blowing affirmations that God does exist and Jesus truly loves us (No, its not just a children's song).
At some point human reason begins to kick in. These signs mean something. We want answers. We need to understand what is going on. We need to understand what is expected of us. We need. We want. We make deals with God, promises to be better, stronger, more loving. The answers do not come.
We may become child-like - whine and plead for answers - Why me? What do You need me to do & will it hurt? Still, the answers do not come.
A type of madness begins to creep in. We seek others - online searches, churches, ministers, different religious paths - seeking, seeking the answers that will not come. They will not come.
The answers we seek will not come from outside sources. The answers we so desperately need are within - inside each of us is a piece of God.
We cannot hear God when we shriek and wail. We can feel Him. As we struggle & cry we are actually blocking His path to speak to us*. Pah, you say. God can do anything. Yes, He can. But, He gave us all free choice, free will.
Will you allow Him to come into your life, your mind, your very essence to speak with you?
*after the madness passes, you will realize that God was answering you all along. Not giving you the answers you wanted - He simply said 'Breathe. Be at peace. I love you.'
When you are able let go of your questions, your fears, your expectations - there will come a quiet time. For some it is nearly deafening in its completeness. It is necessary. Your angels and spirit guide(s) have stepped back. No more friendly, guiding voices in your head. You may feel abandoned - new fears will try to creep in (we are a fearful people). If this is where you are presently & the silence is too much - look around you. Look & listen for other, new signs. Butterflies dance by you each day. They may even come in pairs and dance around your head or body. Birds will watch you, sing to you. Squirrels will pause in their busyness and stare at you. Songs will come on the radio that exactly fit your mood or current need. Strangers will smile at you. Look at the clouds. That heart or angel or bunny is there for you. You are not alone. You are not alone. Never alone.
Reach inside yourself. Pull out your true self, blow off the dust and say simply "Okay. I'm ready. Please talk to me God."
He will.
